Currently still a student at Cambridge, Tom works closely as a composer with the drama department at the renowned public school Eton College and on the 'Sound and Music' technology and music summer school at the Purcell Music School.
Biography
Tom Recknell (b.1989) was a chorister in The Choir of King's College, Cambridge and as a boy, first began to compose from the aged of ten. He won various young composer awards, culminating in a full orchestral performance of his early work 'Elizabeth' (2002) in the Royal Albert Hall aged just fourteen. Whilst at school, Tom wrote extensively for the theatre, with scores for plays including ‘Macbeth’, ‘Romeo and Juliet’, ‘The Crucible’ and ‘Blood Wedding’.
